Born as Tang Zhong Ling, currently serving as the head of the Tang Clan.

With a fierce temperament and a strong sense of justice, he was once a legendary figure ranked among the top ten martial artists. However, as he aged, his physical condition deteriorated significantly, and his renowned skill, the "Fei Yan Liu Xing Ling," gradually faded away.

During the Battle of Ji Le Sect, he resorted to forcibly enhancing his power by ingesting poison, using the "Fei Yan Liu Xing Ling" to eliminate the Right Guardian, but this act left him with a lingering illness.

Biography

The twenty-seventh generation head of the Tang Clan.

In his youth, he was fierce and had a strong sense of justice.
Travelling far and wide, he used his unique skill, "Fei Yan Liu Xing Ling," to dominate without encountering any rivals.
The reputation of the Tang Clan spread far and wide, but it also made enemies with many heroes of the martial world.
It was only after marrying his fellow disciple that he became more reserved upon taking over as the head.

After managing the sect for over a decade, he aged considerably.
Under pressure in recent years, he fell ill and delegated mundane tasks to his third disciple.
He led his disciples in the major battle to eradicate the old demonic sect.
Engaging in a fierce battle against the Seven Immortals of Mount Song Temple, he shattered the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation,
Thwarting the ambitions of the Ji Le Sect Master to dominate the Central Plains in Qin Prefecture.

In the peak showdown, he was one of the five representatives of the righteous faction, confronting the Right Guardian of the Ji Le Sect,
Resorting to ingesting poison to forcefully enhance his power, he narrowly defeated and eliminated this formidable foe,
But in doing so, he acquired an incurable illness.

After this battle, both the Tang Clan and Mount Song suffered significant losses,
Yet Mount Song continued to be respected by the people, while the Tang Clan became a target of public criticism.
He rescued his longtime crush, but could not redeem her tears.
The grave mistake had been made, and the parties involved could never find peace.
Despite this, he still proposed to his fellow disciple, promising her a lifetime together.

After a few years of marriage, they were blessed with a daughter, but his beloved wife remained melancholic, despite his ability to roam the martial world, struggling to maintain a stable family life.
Eventually, his wife succumbed to depression and threw herself off a cliff, worsening Tang Zhong Ling's condition.

  • Despite his resentment towards the corrupt and oppressive court, he greatly respects loyal officials and filial sons. Despite his ambiguous nature, he shows great respect towards those in the Buddhist community.
  • In his youth, he once chased down a frivolous young nobleman who flirted with a certain , forcing the nobleman to flee to the Fujian branch of the Mount Song Sect seeking refuge under Abbot Shi Ming. He knocked on the door a hundred times until both the heads of the Nan Gong and Shang Guan families came to persuade him to leave. Only then did he reluctantly depart, causing Shi Ming to suffer from inner demons.
